The Story Behind "Rhino Photography"
"Some things in life, you don’t choose — they choose you."
When we first started thinking about a name and logo for our wildlife photography, we had no clear direction. We were leaning toward something elegant, like a kingfisher — colorful and graceful — but nothing felt quite right. Not yet..
And then, the rhino started showing up.
At the same time I was looking for a new car, I stumbled across a Suzuki Ignis. But not just any Ignis — it was the Limited Rhino Edition, complete with a stylized rhino on the door pillars. A nice detail, but we thought nothing of it… yet.
A few days later, we visited a military surplus store to look for patches to add to our clothing. Out of everything they had, only two patches really caught our eye — both with rhinos. And there were exactly two of them left. Naturally, we bought them.
The very next day, we sat down again to talk about our logo. Still uncertain, I asked an AI to generate a wildlife-themed logo — something with an animal. And what do you think the first design was? A rhino.
The rhino had found us.
That was the moment it all clicked. I asked ChatGPT to create a rough rhino logo, refined it in Photoshop — and Rhino Photography was born. Not because we chose the rhino, but because it insisted on being chosen. Since then, we’ve made it official. The logo is registered, and we secured our domain name: rhino-photography.com. What started as a series of unexpected encounters has become our brand, our identity — and the symbol of the adventure we’re proud to share with the world.
The rhino became part of our identity. Because of this connection, we decided to include a link to "Save the Rhino International" in our website.
